Helloooo! Thank you for going through my archive before asking!! But don't worry, this isn't a duplicate. Both games are world-hopping, so take your pick on how you like to experience the story haha.

Yup, the stories in BtW are free because the cards don't actually have much text. These are the contents

Short drabble text every time you uncap levelPost-reunion (card awakening) snippet usually around 2-3 mins; plays like the VN sectionFull-stack snippet also around 2-3 mins; plays like VNMaybe City Encounters (VN snippets in Reality) also around 2-3 mins

The content acts as a supplement to what you've read in the main/side/event missions (aka the stories). They generally fill in time lapses in-game, after story or LI PoV. Those "date stories" other CN otome games have are imbedded in mission where they focus on the LI. You'll usually have MC dropped into a world, meet LI 1 and spend some time with him, she leaves to continue on her mission and meets LI 2 and spends more time with him, and repeat until you meet all 4.

That's why I say the cards aren't crucial. You can get through the events and mini games with card power. BtW has lowered that hurdle so cards from the permanent pool will carry you through. The only thing you'd be missing out on is maybe some resources in Collapsing World (CW) weekly rankings. But it's not much if you're not always rolling.

The only thing I'd say is it might feel a bit unfriendly to players who only like to focus on their one true blorbo. It's canon that MC has a love debt with every man they're adamant in collecting haha and in one of the extra features in the Cruise World, the way its written basically makes it seem you're juggling 4 relationships at once while the men pretend to not know of each others' existence LOL

LBC  does do event and banner reruns. I'd search their official Twitter account for the work "rerun" like here.

BtW does banner re-runs and it happens when a related event is released. e.g. the CW solo banners re-ran when a solo event related to that world was released. The old vday banner was re-run on 520 (both "valentines" for the Chinese). I haven't seen an event re-run mainly because all our banners are related to special missions (aka the ones with long stories) and are archived. You can read them by using a memory key item gained through weekly login tasks. Which is also why I say you can read it all for free. They've updated it so you can buy from the store if you're desperate. Solo banners are either side missions (personal story) so those cards go into perm pool, or CW banner which re-runs during solo events.

What you'd miss out on is the short events that run for about 6 days because they're not archived. But again, these are kind of supplementary to main story the way card stories are. It's a nice touch but not essential. I haven't seen a callback made to the short events. But short events callback to main/side missions which are available for free.

hello! i was pointed to your account by a friend who got me interested in—honestly initially lbc lol but the vibes led me to—btw! i saw your thread about the changes to the gacha system and all but what got my attention was when you said the stories are for free. since i'm starting out later into the game's lifespan and i have no idea if lbc does reruns for either cards or events, i wanted to ask if btw does rerun cards or event stories somehow (unlike lovepro or themis that have events and then kiss them goodbye unless they're "major" events for the latter). thank you ❤️ and apologies if this has been addressed before here on perch, i swear i used the search bar and checked your archive before asking 😭
