"What World?" would be the first of a long list of questions I'd ask in return to pinpoint what you might actually want to know about Yi Yu. I'm sure you wanted to leave it pretty open for me to have the space to answer however I wanted to, but this is actually one of those questions I don't enjoy being asked precisely because of how broad it is.

If I were to answer this and try to cover the entire game, it'd either be so long you might as well read my threads, or actually sound like a generic list of characteristics and setting information for [insert other genre characters here].

No one fact is unique to him. I can't even talk generically about his character trope because his role is different every single world. It's the combination of everything that creates this character and why I love him. It's the commonality across every single iteration of him I discover that solidifies his core character and makes me fall in love all over again. My understanding of him changes day-to-day because the more I read, the more facets of him I discover and add to my personal mental wiki.

Off the top of my head, here are the facts that made the most impression on me:
